Members of the Greenwood County Sweepstakes Team traveled to Louisville, Ky. to compete at the North American International Livestock Exposition in the National 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl Contest and the National 4-H Live-stock Skillathon Contest. Both Teams earned the honor to represent Kansas in the National Contests after winning both contests at the state level back in August.

The West Elk Patriot Football team concluded their season with a 9-2 overall record last Friday, in Lyndon. West Elk fell in the sectional match-up, 12-58, in the third quarter.
Eureka Tornado senior Bailey Brewer was selected to be a member of the Southeast District Honor Band as a flute player. Tornado sophomore Alaina Westerman was selected as the 1st alternate in the clarinet section.
Three Eureka Junior High School students received special recognition last week for being selected for the junior high/middle school District Honor Band concert. Cooper Bowlin and Jersey Cox were both selected for the concert with Camden Wunderlich being named an alternate.
