Seven Elk County Wrestling (ECW) club members competed on Sunday at two different events, in Mulvane: Kansas Heartland Duals and 6U State.
Lady Cobra Emma Baumgartel placed third at the duals and will represent the area at the duals tournament later this month.
Following are the individual match wins for the ECW participants: 6U Girls 40-44: Axl Ellsbury won by fall over Anahi Miller (Andover Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:56).
6U Girls 40-44: Skylee Edwards won a 9-4 decision over Rachael Long (Effingham Wrestling Club).
6U Girls 44-48: Hendrix Ellsbury placed 6th. She won by fall over Charlotte Peguero (Ogden’s Outlaws Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:50); won by fall over Halle Elmore (Sly-Fox Wrestling Academy) (Fall 1:13); and won by fall over Brooklyn Guyton (Renegades) (Fall 2:50).
Girls 95: Emma Baumgartel placed 3rd. She won by fall over Keelie Kephart (Hoisington Jr Cardinal Wrestling) (Fall 0:40); won a 9-0 major decision over Kaylee Colston (Turner Wrestling Club); and won a 6-0 decision over Rheamy Rierson (MAC wrestling club).
6U 45: Flint Pope placed 5th. He won by fall over Lincoln Bowman (Bulldog Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:12); won by fall over Lincoln Johnson (Sabetha Kids Wrestling) (Fall 0:28); won by fall over Nikolas Landeros (Satanta Top Team) (Fall 0:22); won by fall over Jack Scott (Triumph) (Fall 0:51); and won by fall over Ryus Ardery (Holcomb Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:15).
6U 61: Elwood Benson won a 7-2 decision over Kaden Grove (Ottawa Mat Masters Wrestling C).
Also representing the ECW was Konlee Bidwell, 6U 53.
