Fourth-sixth grade students at Marshall Elementary School, in Eureka, are scheduled to compete in the annual track meet on Friday, May 3. The event is slated to begin with running events at 9:30 a.m. and field events beginning at 12:45 p.m.

Junior Golf Program To Begin May 23

The 2024 Junior Golf Program, sponsored by the Eureka Recreation Commission and the Eureka Country Club, will begin practice Thursday, May 23 and will then practice Tuesday, May 28, Thursday, May 30 and the following Monday’s in June: 3, 10, 17 and 24. Ages 9-11 will practice from 8 to 10 a.m., ages 12-18 will practice from 10 a.m. 12 p.m.

Valentine, 6th, 29.33; Neill, 24th, 31.04; Sanchez, 33.97. 400 Meter Dash: Brenna Rucker, 10th, 1:09.89. 800 Meter Run: Rose Buck, 1st, 2:31.83; Britta Mongeau, 10th, 2:57.73. 1600 Meter Run: Buck, 1st, 5:58.22; Mongeau, 5th, 6:21.46.

Junior High Track Competed At Yates Center

On Tuesday, April 16, Eureka Junior High track traveled to Yates Center to compete. Medals were awarded to the following: 7th Grade Girls: scored 54 points taking 4th place out of 8 teams: Winnie Brenckman: 1st place in the 400M Run with a time of 1:16.23; McKenna McDonald: 1st place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’4” and 1st place in the 800M Run with a time of 2:53.72; 4 x 200 Meter Relay: 1st place with a time of 2:12.14 consisting of Mc-Donald, Emma Baumgartel, Amorette Guillaume and Brenckman.
