On Tuesday, April 16, Eureka Junior High track traveled to Yates Center to compete. Medals were awarded to the following: 7th Grade Girls: scored 54 points taking 4th place out of 8 teams: Winnie Brenckman: 1st place in the 400M Run with a time of 1:16.23; McKenna McDonald: 1st place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’4” and 1st place in the 800M Run with a time of 2:53.72; 4 x 200 Meter Relay: 1st place with a time of 2:12.14 consisting of Mc-Donald, Emma Baumgartel, Amorette Guillaume and Brenckman.
8th Grade Girls: scored 58 points taking 2nd place out of 9 teams: Reata Bogle: 2nd place in the 3200M Run with a time of 23:47.0; Sydney Lindamood: 1st place in the 100M Dash with a time of 15.09 and 1st place in the 100M Hurdles with a time of 20.01; Arabella Shepherd: 2nd place in Shot Put with a throw of 30’ 3”; 4 x 100 Meter Relay: 2nd place with a time of 1:03.52 team consisting of Lindamood, Jersey Cox, Novah Ogden and Rose Owens; 4 x 200 Meter Relay: 2nd place with a time of 2:14.96 team consisting of Lindamood, Cox, Owens and Ogden.
7th Grade Boys: scored 43 points taking 6th place out of 8 teams: Maddox Hughes: 2nd place in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’ 5” and 2nd place in the 100M Hurdles with a time of 20.66; 4 x 100 Meter Relay: 3rd place with a time of 59.06 consisting of Tate Scott, Cohen Marks, Dylan Conard and Hughes; 4 x 200 Meter Relay: 2nd place with a time of 2:14.21 consisting of Scott, Marks, Conard and JaKolby Robbins.
8th Grade Boys: scored 46 points taking 4th place out of 8 teams: Brody Mitchell: 1st place in the 800 M Run with a time of 2:38.12 and 3rd place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’6”; Travis Rice: 1st place in the 100M Dash with a time of 28.74; Will Morris: 1st place in the 3200M Run with time of 12:41.91; 4 x 100 Meter Relay: 3rd place with a time of 56.55 consisting of Morris, Fisher Hobbs, Dash Gulick and Rice.
