Fruit tree bark is a tasty alternative, and often favorite, food source for mice in the winter. Mice will chew through the outer layer of bark at the base of trees. Heavy feeding from the mice reduces the trees’ ability to transport food to the roots and can result in death.
On Monday, December 18, Greenwood County Commissioners heard from County Clerk Kathy Robison in regards to election security and equipment. Robison shared that a grant had been awarded for election security. The total project for the amount of $33,550.30, the county paying 10% and the state reimbursing for 90%, would go towards needed work to secure election equipment and would also include locking file cabinets and a trailer to transport equipment. Commissioners approved to proceed with the grant project.

The public is invited to attend the church or churches of their choice and hear the Christmas story as it is related through scripture. All are welcome to attend services. Those attending do not have to be a member of any of the churches.
