Come join us for the Greenwood County Fair on July 26-29! It’s pretty hard to believe that we’re back into county fair season already. Sure, the end of July seems pretty far away, but when it comes to planning a project and finding the time to finish it with an already busy schedule, it’ll be here before we know it. The Greenwood County Fair serves as a time for us to gather as a community to celebrate the hard work our 4-H and FFA youth have put in to their projects throughout the program year.
The Kansas Shrine Bowl is headed back to Dodge City for the second time in 2025. The Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors announced the 52nd Kansas Shrine Bowl presented by Mammoth will be played on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City. “We are excited to bring the Kansas Shrine Bowl back to Dodge City,” said Brice Kesler, Executive Director of the Kansas Shrine Bowl. “The beautiful renovations to Memorial Stadium will provide a great host for our game and create the type of experience we want for our participants.”
During the annual Eureka Days event, Eureka Recreation Pickleball invites community members to come play and/or watch the activity on Saturday, June 1, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
On Friday, May 3, the fourth, fifth and sixth grade students at Marshall Elementary School participated in the annual track meet at Eureka Junior/Senior High School. Students placing first through sixth received ribbons. Participation ribbons were presented to all students that didn’t place.
The Eureka United Methodist Church and the Sandwich Quilt Club will be sponsoring a display of quilts and fiber art creations on Saturday, June 1, Eureka Days. The exhibit will be at the United Methodist Church, 521 N. Main, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The show is open to the public.
The Eureka Recreation Commission recently announced the schedules for the 2024 summer ball seasons. Games will begin Monday, May 20.
