The Lady Tornado Volleyball team concluded their season on Saturday, at the 2A Dexter Sub-State.
The Patriots of West Elk earned a #1 seed in the Class 8 Player DI State Football Championships when they went undefeated in District 1. West Elk will host Burlingame (D2#4 seed) this Thursday, October 26, at 6:30 p.m.
Madison Bulldog volleyball concluded their season at the Moran-Marmaton Valley Sub-State.
The Madison Bulldog football team wrapped up their regular season with a 4-4 overall record, last Friday night, as they fell to Chase County, 8-56.
The West Elk Lady Patriot volleyball team concluded their season last Saturday at the 2A Sub-State Volleyball Tournament in Dexter. West Elk drew the #5 seed and faced #4 seed Dexter/Cedar Vale. The Patriots fell, 20-25 and 22-25, and concluded their season with a 12-27 overall record.
Eureka was represented at the 3-1A State Golf Tournament in Hesston, last Monday and Tuesday by Lady Tornado senior Annaliese Casper.
Eureka’s Lady Tornado volleyball concluded their regular season last Tuesday when they traveled to Yates Center. The Lady Tornadoes struggled during the contest, coming home with one of four wins.
Tri-Valley cross country runners gathered last Thursday, October 12, in Fredonia, where Tornado runners claimed several honors.
Monday, October 9 proved to be a difficult day at the golf course in Girard as high school golfers merged on to the course for Regional action. The weather may have been perfect, but pin placements were not. With the placements being difficult, scores came in high before the turn. Multiple coaches voiced their concerns and a short break was taken between the front and back nine and hole placements were moved on five of the nine holes.
