Tri-Valley cross country runners gathered last Thursday, October 12, in Fredonia, where Tornado runners claimed several honors.
In the boys varsity 5K, Jonah Werner placed sixth with a time of 19:38.94. Also representing Eureka in the race was Davian Damron, who finished in 22nd place, with a time of 22:24.25.
Eureka’s Rose Buck claimed first place honors in the varsity girls 5K, with a time of 20:01.64. Lady Tornado Britta Mongeau claimed third place honors, with a time of 22:55.76.
In junior high action, Rose Owens placed third, with a time of 15:03.76; McKenna McDonald placed seventh, with a time of 16:21.16; and Reata Bogle placed 12th, with a time of 20:58.30, in the girls 2-mile race. For the boys, Will Morris placed first, with a time of 12:29.56; Tavin Austin placed ninth with a time of 15:46.12; Braden Buck placed 12th with a time of 16:48.09; and Cohen Marks placed 13th with a time of 17:14.58.
The junior high boys concluded their season by claiming the 1st Place Tri-Valley League Plaque.
