WICHITA - Father Peltzer was born August 4, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska, and died Tuesday, April 9, 2024. His family moved to Andale, when he was just a few weeks old, and then on to Wichita, where he attended Christ the King and St. Francis of Assisi schools. After graduation from Bishop Carroll High School in 1971, he attended Kansas Newman College before entering the Seminary of St. Pius X in Erlanger, Ky. After completing his theological studies at Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., he was ordained by Bishop Maloney on May 10, 1980, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Wichita.

High school is an important period in students’ academic careers. High school curriculum tends to be more demanding than pre-secondary education. In addition, at this point in their academic careers, high school students may begin to ponder their future endeavors, including higher education. High school curriculum aims to prepare students for their future, which is why coursework tends to be more specialized, challenging and complex.

The Severy City Council held a routine monthly meeting on April 1.
The Eureka businesswomen met on Tuesday, April 2 at the Greenwood County Hospital basement meeting room. There were eight members and no guests present. Roll call was answered by, “Do you have a NCAA Basketball bracket and if so, is it busted?”
The theme for West Elk’s 2024 prom is “A Night Under The Stars.” The annual event will be this Saturday, April 20. Students are expected to arrive between 6 and 7 p.m., on the west side of the building. Promenade will begin at 7 p.m., with the prom beginning at 8 p.m.
