It’s often easier said than done, but a persons healthy living and improvement of quality of life can be summed up in three small phrases. The 3 B’s you could say. Build a better meal, boost your physical activity, and balance stress. Doing all three can be difficult but doing all three also is important and they all affect our health. They provide a valuable road map for people heading into holidays or considering a New Year’s resolution.

The Eureka Music Club met on November 13 at the Christ Lutheran Church, in Eureka, with 15 members present. Copresident Sheri Hall held a brief business meeting.
The East Central Kansas Model T (ECKMT) Ford Club will meet at 11 a.m. December 9, in the conference room of the Burlington Library. The Library is located on Highway 75 in Burlington. The Club will provide the dinner meat, potatoes, vegetable, rolls and drinks, please bring a dessert to share with the meal which will be eaten before the meeting. Members are invited to dress in vintage attire.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Attebery will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on December 12. Anniversary wishes may be sent to the couple at 1004 Country Club Drive, Eureka, KS, 67045.
The Eureka High School boys basketball team opened their season last Friday night with a 17-67 loss to the Independence Bulldogs. Playing the 4A Bulldogs, on opening night on the road, was a challenge the young Tornadoes were unable to meet. In spite of the lopsided score, however, the Tornadoes came away with some valuable experience that will payoff down the road.
