Eureka Junior/Senior High School (EJSHS) 2023 graduates Hunter Scott and Cooper Zimmers earned scholarships and hardware when they competed at the Missouri Welding Institute (MWI) High School Contest, in Nevada, Mo., on Jan. 26, 2023.

Raymond Voth, 34, appeared before District Court Judge Jan Satterfield Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023 in what was initially scheduled to be a preliminary hearing. As court convened, it was shared that a written plea agreement had been reached.

As the Hamilton City Council made their way through agenda items Wednesday, June 15, 2023 (regular meeting rescheduled from June 8, 2023 due to lack of quorum), they received and accepted the resignation of Mayor Donnie Derryberry. Derryberry cited growing commitments and family health as his reasoning for stepping away from the role.
The U.S. Postal Service announced another postage increase last spring that again sent Periodicals postage into the double-digit zone for annual increases. This mid-year hike was 8.8% for Within County newspapers and 8.1% for Outside County newspapers.
