The sun was enormous on Monday morning, as I typed this column. Itlooked like the start of a beautiful day. Wasn’t the weekend great? We got rain on Saturday and Sunday was an almost perfect day. A little less wind would’ve been better, but hey this is Kansas!

I think the yards look pretty right now with the henbit, dandelions, Star of David, bluebells, tulips, jonquils and all the other little flowers. Very colorful, mixed with all the shades of green and the light brown from last year’s leaves.

I took pictures of an eclipse many years ago thru the lens of a welding helmet. The pictures were not real clear, but it was neat to see anyway.

We attended a 70th birthday party Sunday for Leslie Sherman at Getty’s Bar. It was a great day and good time. The man of the hour, Leslie, was having a good time; as did everyone there.
