Eureka volleyball was plagued with consecutive errors during their annual volleyball tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14; but, found their rhythm in the final set, ending the day with a victory.

The Eureka High School volleyball team opened their 2024-25 season last week. Eureka first traveled to Olpe on Tuesday, Sept. 4, before traveling to Rosalia on Thursday, Sept. 6 to face Flinthills and Conway Springs.
The West Elk Patriots claimed their season opener with a 46-0 win over Argonia/Attica, in less than three quarters of play. The game was called with 10:35 remaining in the third quarter as the Patriots tallied their sixth touchdown of the game.
The Eureka Junior High Tornado football team opened their 2024 season with a 30-0 victory over the Bluestem Lions last Thursday, Sept. 5 at Eureka. The Tornadoes played well at times, especially in the second half, but were still relatively inconsistent. This was due to the fact that they were playing their first game and initially struggled to adjust to the difference in tempo between practice and games.
