Seven area archers competed over the course of two days in Metropolis, Ill. on June 21 and 22 for an Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) shoot. Among those making the trip from the area were Brad and Wylee Boulanger, Clint and Jeremy Wharton, Curtis and Donna Geary and Chason Gulick. Area native, Gulick placed third in Youth Open Compound; tying numerically by score with second place with a score of 450 out of 480, but losing by one 12 ring. The Youth Open Class consisted of 44 participants shooting 40 targets.
McKenna Richardson recently competed at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress in Tulsa, Okla., June 29 – July 4. There were 252 exhibitors from 26 states that showed 492 head of cattle. Exhibitors may exhibit heifers, cow calf pairs, steers and bulls.
