Renee was born January 23, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Earnest Ray Herring and Lanetta (Clayton) Sanderson. She graduated from Mcloud High School in Oklahoma. She had a great love of horses, which she later spent 10 years working for the Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Association at the track in Eureka with her husband Steve. Renee and Stephen Jones were married on July 7, 1983, in Alabama. They have been married for 40 beautiful years.

So, I sit in my living room in front of the television set and talk back to the meteorologist. I don’t know when they stopped being weathermen and became meteorologist.

Many were able to retreat indoors in the negative degree windchills much of our area faced just before Christmas, but for our cattle out on pasture, a warm barn is not always and option.
