TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Fall River public water supply system located in Greenwood County.

Third Annual Lloyd Leitzel Memorial Archery Scramble Slated For April 20-21

The third annual Lloyd Leitzel Memorial Scramble, a Flint Hills 3-D archery shoot, will be held on April 20 and 21, at 2135 S Road, in Eureka. The two-day event, hosted by the Eureka Archery Club, will begin with a shotgun start on Saturday, at 9 a.m., with an individual 3-D 30-target shoot. There is a youth, adult and proclass division, offering the following classes: Open (50-yard max), Hunter (40yard max), Women’s (35yard max); Youth 16 & under (35-yard max) and Pro Class (50-yard max). The pro-class will have 50% payback. The other classes will offer added money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Marshall Elementary School released the Principal’s Honor Roll (all A’s) and Honor Roll (A’s and B’s) for third through sixth grade students. Those students were recognized last week during a special school announcement. Students were presented with a certificate.

Eureka Foundation Hosting Match Day Event For Eureka Clinic

This Wednesday, March 27, the Eureka Foundation is holding a Match Day Giving Event. Through the Patterson Family Foundation, the Eureka Foundation would receive a match up to $70,000 in donations if the grant is approved. All funds donated will assist Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH) with costs associated with acquiring the CareArc building, which is now the home of the Eureka Clinic.
