No one is immune to migraine headaches, including children. According to the American Migraine Foundation, approximately 10 percent of children experience migraines. Children may be more likely to experience migraines if a parent or both parents get them. The AMF notes that children with one parent who suffers from migraines have a 50 percent chance of getting them as well, and that increases to 75 percent among children who have two parents that experience migraines.
