Residents of Eureka Lake were present at the Eureka City Council meeting held last Monday, March 11 to revisit concerns previously conveyed in regards to water leaking at the dam.
The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive on March 25 at the United Me t h o d ist Church from 1 to 6 p.m. This is an Express Drive so appointments are re-quired. On June 7, another Blood Drive is scheduled, and those donating on March 25 will be eligible to give again. In between these two dates a drive is scheduled at the Eureka Junior/Senior High School on April 30, but those donating at this drive will not be eligible to give a second time on June 7. Call as soon as possible to make an appointment for the March 25 Drive.
Republican and Democrat registered voters in Kansas were able to vote in the Kansas Presidential Primary election on Tuesday, March 19. Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Eureka Girl Scouts are having their Seatbelt Safety Check on Wednesday, March 20 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the corner of 7th and Main Streets, with the assistance of Greenwood County Sheriff’s Deputies. If you’re wearing your seatbelt you will receive smarties. If not, you will receive a dum-dum and be asked to buckle up for safety.
