The Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Association, along with the Greenwood Count Farm Bureau Association will be hosting a county ranch tour this Saturday, June 22.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Double Arrow C Ranch (Cory and Heather Fuesz). Those attending will meet 1/8th mile east of L Road on 100th Street. The tour will continue to Salt Creek Farms (Jay and Sara Shivers). Lunch will be held at 12 p.m. at the Greenwood Hotel with AJ Tarpoff serving as the guest speaker. He will share discussion on “High Path Avian Influenza.”
At 1 p.m., the tour will resume at Eureka Livestock Auction with Shawn Mills. Kevin Thielen will provide discussion on Animal ID and Cattle Market Trends.
Gini Pryor with Farm Bureau Financial Services will be serving ice cream.
The event is free to attend with the meal being sponsored by Trustpoint Insurance and Henry Ott - Tallgrass Appraisals/ Vaughn-Roth Real Estate.
