Public Access Now Available At Kansas Judicial Center

Last week, it was shared through a press release that a public access service center opened at the Kansas Judicial Center. Those wishing to review court cases may schedule 30-minute appointments in the service center, in Topeka. The service center is for searching case information only. The terminals are not set up to receive electronic payments. Court payments must be made by cash, check, or money order delivered to the courthouse in person or by mail. WELCA Thanksgiving Service

– submitted by Sue Erickson, secretary WELCA met on November 2, in the bell tower room at Christ Lutheran Church. Joni Booth led the Thank-offering Service. Four members assisted with the Bible readings and Gospel from 1 Kings, Psalms, Philippians and Mathew. Grace Stacy accompanied on the piano for two Thanksgiving songs.

Greenwood County Commissioners Approved Insurance Provider

Scott Day with Day Insurance appeared via Zoom for continued discussion with Greenwood County Commissioners in regards to county health insurance. Day shared that he had sent projections to the county and noted that they did receive a relief offer from Blue Cross and Blue Shield because commissioners had previously approved to proceed with their dental plan. This had resulted in a 3% reduction in figures formerly provided to commissioners. Blue Cross and Blue Shield would thus be a 43.9% increase this year and United Health Care would be a 25.4% increase from last year’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield rate.
