– submitted by Sue Erickson, secretary WELCA met on November 2, in the bell tower room at Christ Lutheran Church. Joni Booth led the Thank-offering Service. Four members assisted with the Bible readings and Gospel from 1 Kings, Psalms, Philippians and Mathew. Grace Stacy accompanied on the piano for two Thanksgiving songs.
A short business meeting followed with roll call, minutes of the October 12 meeting and the treasurer’s report. Three bills were approved to be paid. Plans for the Bazaar were finalized.
Quilters will meet Thursday, November 9, for a work day.
Workers are needed Mondays November 6 and 13, 1-3 p.m. at the Catholic Church to wrap boxes for the Well Spring.
The next meeting will be December 7 at 2 p.m. for the Christmas story reading from Luke. The meeting adjourned with a social hour where those in attendance enjoyed coffee and cookies.
