Into The Woods Musical To Feature Keeley Coon
Eureka graduate Keeley Coon will soon take to the Sterling College theatre stage to play the role of Cinderella in “Into the Woods”. The show weaves together four classic tales – “Cinderella,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Rapunzel” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” - with some of the most heartfelt and moving music ever written. Stephen Sondheim’s now classic musical “Into the Woods” will be presented by Sterling College Theatre on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. 03/26/2024 11:00 PM

East Team Won Inaugural KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals
The East Team claimed the crown at the inaugural KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals on Sunday, March 17, at Fugate Gymnasium on the campus of Newman University in Wichita. In a tightly contested dual, the East prevailed by a final team dual score of 72-62, by winning five of the final six matches in the dual. Many of these disease prevention strategies apply to cattle, specifically newborn calves. According to Dr. Brad White, with the K-State Beef Cattle Institute, prevention and early detection are two keys in reducing the spread of disease in newborn calves. Third Annual Lloyd Leitzel Memorial Archery Scramble Slated For April 20-21
The third annual Lloyd Leitzel Memorial Scramble, a Flint Hills 3-D archery shoot, will be held on April 20 and 21, at 2135 S Road, in Eureka. The two-day event, hosted by the Eureka Archery Club, will begin with a shotgun start on Saturday, at 9 a.m., with an individual 3-D 30-target shoot. There is a youth, adult and proclass division, offering the following classes: Open (50-yard max), Hunter (40yard max), Women’s (35yard max); Youth 16 & under (35-yard max) and Pro Class (50-yard max).
