Throughout the year, Eureka Public Library hosts various events to encourage patrons to visit the local library. Not only can you rent books, audiobooks and movies, but you can join staff for craft activities, story hours and even game nights.

The East Central Kansas Model T Club meets the 2nd Thursday of the month. The ECKMTs will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 in the conference room of the Burlington Library. The library is located on Highway 75 in Burlington. The main entrée and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish to share with the meal which will be eaten before the meeting.

The City of Eureka first announced plans for transitioning code enforcement to a grid-based system in 2021. In this system, the City of Eureka was divided into 11 sectors and efforts were concentrated within one zone at a time.
