Christmas In Eureka Activities Begin Next Tuesday, Dec. 3

Santa Claus will be making three special appearances in Eureka this coming week, through various community events.

Christmas On Main Street

To begin festivities, the Marshall Elementary PTA will host its eighth annual “Christmas on Main Street” event on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Greenwood County Courthouse lawn. Students are asked to arrive at 5 p.m. to find teachers and the community is invited to join in and sing Christmas Carols, beginning at 5:15 p.m. Music will be lead by Eureka Junior/ Senior High School music teacher Shawn Gamache. During the event, students will be able to decorate the trees with ornaments and visit with Santa Claus.

Popcorn and hot chocolate will be available. Students will also have the opportunity to mail their letters to Santa, in a special mailbox on Wednesday.

Those who wish to use traditional methods of reaching Santa, can still use the United States Postal Service, by addressing them to Santa at the North Pole, or you can bring the letters to The Eureka Herald. Letters can also be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line to read “Letter to Santa.” The letters will go directly to the North Pole.
