Rodney Dale Walker, 67, of Thayer passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Rodney was born on October 31, 1955. Rodney is survived by his wife of 43 years Terri Walker, sister Laveta Fickel and four boys he helped raise: Kolt Ostenowski, Jeff Carney, Mark Hunington and John Johnson (his boys). Rodney worked for the USDA-IES as a Senior Investigator for 28 years. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 2015. Rodney was a calf roper and team roper and loved to rope and ride his horses. If you knew him, you knew what a great guy he was. He will be missed by many. 10/31/2023 11:00 PM

As thousands of refugees streamed into the camp, I was surprised at how quickly they shared whatever food was given them.
