Braxtyn Evenson and Brenn Hilton, both of Eureka, are new junior members of the American Angus Association, reports Mark McCully, CEO of the national organization with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo.
The West Elk Patriot Football team concluded their season with a 9-2 overall record last Friday, in Lyndon. West Elk fell in the sectional match-up, 12-58, in the third quarter.
Eureka Tornado senior Bailey Brewer was selected to be a member of the Southeast District Honor Band as a flute player. Tornado sophomore Alaina Westerman was selected as the 1st alternate in the clarinet section.
Three Eureka Junior High School students received special recognition last week for being selected for the junior high/middle school District Honor Band concert. Cooper Bowlin and Jersey Cox were both selected for the concert with Camden Wunderlich being named an alternate.
