The Eureka businesswomen met on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH) basement meeting room. There were seven members and one guest present. The guest was Beth Whitehead, who was the businesswoman of the month. Roll call was answered with, “Your most favorite Valentine gift you ever received.”
After seven rounds, Sadie Seiter claimed her second consecutive Greenwood County Spelling Bee title and will represent the county at the state spelling bee on Saturday, March 23, at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.
On Saturday, Feb. 17, beginning at 1 p.m., The Mapleton-Eureka will host an open house for those wishing to see the newly remodeled facility.
I wonder how many people nearly had a heart attack watching the game Sunday evening? Man, it was a good one. I had sore muscles this Monday morning from clenching and unclenching during the last few minutes of the game.
