The Susannah French Putney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held their monthly meeting on March 15, at the United Method-ist Church in Eureka. The Women of Faith served the members a delicious lunch.
Four Eureka Tornado High School students ventured to Horton High School on Saturday, March 23, for the State Powerlifting meet. Tornado freshman Mason Hughes (114) claimed a state title and Eureka junior Olivia Valentine (132) and sophomore Peyton Hare (225) were both named runner-up in their weight classes.

On Saturday, March 23, Greenwood County 4-H members traveled to Madison to compete at Regional 4-H Club Days. After qualifying at the County 4-H Club Days on Feb. 12, youth had the chance to show off their public speaking skills, parliamentary knowledge, talents and demonstrated knowledge gained within theirprojects.Thecompeting counties at Regionals are Flint Hills District (Chase and Morris Counties), Lyon County, Greenwood County, Coffey County and the Rolling Prairie District (Elk and Chautauqua Counties).
