Back To School Supply Drive

The Greenwood County Coalition is once again ramping up for the annual School Supply Drive. With the group serving more students each year, more donations are needed to provide school supplies for the upcoming school year.

“Remember what it was like as a kid, getting all new stuff for the first day of school? How about the excitement of having bright, unbroken crayons, pencils to sharpen and the fun backpacks,” questioned organizer Emily Hansel in a letter sent to potential donors. The letter also noted that many area students are below the poverty level, but still deserve to feel the same excitement about school.

Those willing to join the Greenwood County Coalition to help make this happen throughout Greenwood County, are asked to assist monetarily and the organization will purchase the supplies needed. Donation boxes for school supplies will also be set up at various businesses throughout the county.

Donations may be left in Eureka at the Eureka USD 389 District Office or local banks. Donations can also be mailed to GWCO Coalition School Supply Drive, c/o Emily Hansel, 516 N. Adams St., Eureka, KS 67045. Checks should be made out to GWCO Coalition School Supply Drive. Donations can also be sent via Paypal to [email protected] or through venmo at GWCO-Supply Drive (the last four digits of the phone number associated with the account is 2614). Those utilizing the last two options should also not “for supplies” when donating.
