TOPEKA – The Kansas Water Office, Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are holding a series of local consult workshops to discuss the implementation of the 2022 Kansas Water Plan.
Commissioners met for their regular weekly meeting on Monday, June 16, where agenda discussion began with Road and Bridge Supervisor Allen Greenwood, who reported on department operation and sought clarification on items discussed prior to his time as department supervisor.
The Greenwood County Historical Society (GCHS) and Museum currently has a display of quilted projects created by the late Becky Lindamood up for viewing through the second week of July. This display was made possible by the Lindamood family.
Community members and friends alike, will soon have the opportunity to lace up their shoes for the annual kickball tournament hosted by the Eureka High School Safe Night After Prom (SNAP).
The inaugural Clasen Family Memorial junior/ senior memorial golf tournament, in memory of Richard and Rachel Clasen, will be held this Saturday, June 22, at the Eureka Country Club.
The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive on Tuesday, June 25 at the Eureka United Methodist Church from 12 to 6 p.m.
This Saturday, June 22, the Eureka Lions Club will be hosting the inaugural “Fun Day in the Park” event at Lions Park, in Eureka.

Cadet Garrett Todd Chrisman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chrisman of Cave Springs, Ark., and grandson of Roger and Darla Winfrey of Eureka, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy on Saturday, May 25.
