West Elk Homecoming Royalty was crowned last Friday night following a 72-0 win for the Patriot football team, with Evan Coble, son of Robert and Laurie Coble of Severy, being named King and Kodi Harshman, daughter of Stacy Harshman of Howard and Spencer Harshman of Elmdale, being named Queen. The four Greenwood County libraries – Fall River, Hamilton, Madison and Eureka – recently sponsored a bookmark design contest in four age categories. Participants were asked to design a bookmark showcasing something they love about Greenwood County and/ or its libraries. Design submissions were then judged by the Greenwood County Commissioners.
