For approximately five years, the City of Severy has been working towards a new water plant. In 2018, residents of Severy gathered for a town hall meeting where they opted to keep their water plant instead of going with PWS #23.
What a busy, busy weekend! What a fun weekend though. Had a good turnout for our annual Alumni Banquet. The weather was cool, but not cold. That is if you’re heater was working.
The Verdigris Valley Foundation will be serving a biscuit and gravy breakfast on Saturday, October 21 at the Madison Sauder Center from 8 to 10 a.m. Proceeds from this event support the operation of the Center and projects for the community.

CLAY CENTER – Sandra was in her mid-20s when we attended the same church and were part of the singles group. She had a beautiful smile and a bright personality, but one day life came crashing down on her when she received word that her dad had killed himself. The news impacted our group as we grieved for her devastating loss.
Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH) Auxiliary met for their monthly meeting on Monday, October 2 at the GWCH basement.
Mayor Richard Clark called the September 18 Howard City Council meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with council members Martin Hunter, Derek Cookson, Jerrad Pope and Gary Harrod present. Council member Erica Cordell was absent. Also present was Joanna Hunter.
STILLWATER, Okla. – On September 6, Greenwood and Elk County students were honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture and received academic scholarships for the 20232024 academic year.
