Patricia Joan (olsen) toney
Trish Toney, 66, of Eureka, passed away in her home, in the beautiful Flinthills, where she called home her whole life.
She was born in El Dorado to Clarence and Lola Joan Olsen who raised her on their family’s cattle ranch with her brother Jerry. She attended Dunlap Country School and later attended school in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School in 1976.
Trish met the love of her life, Timothy Toney, while living and working in Wichita and they were married at the Methodist Church in Eureka on February 4, 1978. They started their family with a son, Timothy Ray, and daughter, Amber Lynn. She was a hard worker and spent the majority of her career working for El Dorado Schools USD 490, where her children attended school. Later in life, she got rid of the office dresses and traded them for blue jeans and cowboy boots and went back to work on the family ranch where they raised Hereford cows and calves.
She loved her horses and dogs, but mostly she loved her family and would do anything for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Tim, her brother Jerry Olsen (Sheila), her son TR (Tammy), her daughter Amber McLaren (Kyle), nephews Ryan Olsen (Sara) and Tyler Olsen, numerous cousins, grandchildren and lifelong friends. She was the center of their world and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 23, at 2 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Following the service, friends and family were invited to her dream home at 16450 NE 40th St, Eureka, KS 67045 to celebrate her life.
