He was born July 28, 1957 in Eureka. On July 31, 1975 he was united in marriage to Brenda Lewis of Eureka. They made their home in Climax.

Jimmy is Survived by his Wife Brenda and two children; Bridget Johnson of Climax and Scott Meier of Eureka. Jimmy had eight grandkids and nine great-grandkids.

His parents were EJ Meier and Margaret Ann Brooks. He had four siblings: Mark Meier of Texas, Billy J. Meier of Virginia, Renee Farrington of El Dorado, and Bobby Hill of Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jimmy loved helping everyone who needed it, fishing and going for rides on his Dunebuggy.

He was the Mayor of Climax for several years and he worked at Denner’s Welding and Diamond S both in Eureka.

The Meier Family invites anyone who knew him to come and celebrate his life on May 18 at 1 p.m. at the old school house in Climax. Those who attend are asked to bring food and drinks, and the family would love for you to share your memories about their husband and father with them, or write them down to share. He was a great husband, father and friend and will be missed by many. Thank you to everyone for your support in this difficult time.
