After war, Harry and Imogene were united in marriage in Medicine Lodge, on Sept. 4, 1945.

Harry and Imogene’s first home was near Zenda, with Janet Kay being born in 1949. They moved to Argonia, in 1953 where their daughter Karen Ann was born. Harry and Imogene worked side by side farming and harvesting wheat. A registered Angus cow calf herd brought them to the Flint Hills purchasing Greenwood County grass land in the 1960s. They moved to Eureka in 1972.

She was a part of the Eureka First United Methodist Church, Golden Rule 4-H Club, Freeport Trailblazers 4-H Club Community Leader, Sumner and Greenwood County Extension Homemaker Units and United Methodist Women.

Imogene is survived by her daughters, Janet and husband, Keith Guthrie, Eureka; and Karen McDaniel, Winfield; granddaughters: Charlene Baker and Anne and husband, Eddie Lewis, all of Eureka; greatgrandchildren Brooke and husband, Cade Burden, Lydia, Landon, and Trinity Lewis, Caylee and Cassidy Baker, all of Eureka. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; and all seven siblings: Chester Bonham, Lester Bonham, Leland Bonham, Mary Martin, Richard Bonham, Dorothy Mae Bonham and LaVina Walk.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at the First United Methodist Church of Eureka with Reverend Linda Pope officiating. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation hours were set for 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Eureka First United Methodist Church or the Greenwood County 4-H Foundation. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which is in charge of service arrangements.
