Richard Albert Maynard
Richard Albert Maynard
Richard was a very unique individual with many talents and hobbies. He found numerous ways to express his creativity including; painting detailed American flags on his girls’ toenails, woodworking in his shop, creating abstract graphic-style artwork, playing his guitar and composing music (namely with his Christian Rock Band, RPM). His favorite hobbies included fishing, taking family vacations, treasure hunting with his grandkids, bird watching, and cheering on the Royals and Chiefs and making TikTok videos with his daughters.
God blessed Richard with the gift of a charismatic and charming personality. He knew no stranger and created a lasting impact on anyone from any walk of life. Many people were blessed by his passion to share the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
Richard would claim he didn’t earn a lot of awards in life, but he had the love of a wonderful family and many friends that was worth so much more. Most of all, Tami.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tami Maynard. Other survivors include; three daughters, Hillary Thackery (Brendon), Ally Withrow (Blake), and Riley Hirsh (Levi); six grandchildren, Harper, Finley, Miles, Tyler, Whit, and expectant Baby Hirsh; two sisters, Pam Algrim and Cheryl Palkowitsh (David), nephew Adam Miller, nieces Sami Algrim, Kristin Reed, Susi Algrim and many extended family members who love him dearly.
