HOLTON – Larry Dean Clark, 77 of Holton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024 at Anew Healthcare and Rehab of Jackson County in Holton. He was born Jan. 20, 1947 in Winfield, the son of Lewis and Neoma (Moore) Clark. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1965 and attended Butler County Community College. Larry was employed as a firefighter for the Arkansas City Fire Department from 1968-1979. He then went to work for Total Petroleum in Arkansas City form 19801996. Larry also owned and operated Ark City Fencing from 1968-1980.

Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. He served in the 18th Combat Engineer Brigade which was an engineering group that electrified fencing on the Demilitarized Zone in Korea.

On Dec. 28, 1978, Larry was united in marriage to Bianca Sue Teague in Miami, Okla. They shared over 45 years of marriage before Bianca passed away on June 6, 2024.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working and gardening.

Survivors include his four children, Jason Wood (Amanda) of Wildwood, Mo., Sandy Marshall (Rodney) of Dixon, Mo., Tracy Clark (Christi) of Coatesville, PA and Terry Clark (Kim) of Holton; two sisters-in-law, Becky Benning of Arkansas City and Lydia Teague of Morrilton, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Murphy; two brothers, Lewis and Robert Clark.

Family inurnment with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at the Parker Family Cemetery in Arkansas City.
