Donald (Don or Donnie) was born on Thursday, Nov. 24, 1949 in Great Bend, to Clifford and Nadine (Book) Jones.

Don was united in marriage to Frankie Melott on July 29, 1995. They were married for over 29 years.

Don worked many jobs throughout his life, including owning his own construction company and retiring after 25 years from Steris Corporation as a Hospital Service Specialist.

Don was very patriotic and enjoyed tinkering, as well as being a hands-on worker. Don loved horses and music. He knew how to play many different instruments including anything with strings. Don loved most of all his kids and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife Frankie of the home; children: Larry (Beth) Jones of Severy, Christi (Mike) Wiens of Wichita, Terry (Amy) Bell of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Tammy (Steve) Young of Ponca City, Okla.; grandchildren: Cody Jones, MacKenzie Jones Hebb, Erin Jones, Jeffrey Light, Jaden Rabenseifner, Jesse Young, Nolan Bell and Kaylee Bell; great-grandchildren: Gunner Jones, Ripten Jones, Waylon Rabenseifner and two on the way, Baby Light (December) and Baby Hebb (January), and nieces and nephews.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marlin Wayne and Roger Jones and sisters Donna Foulke and Sharon Eades and one grandson, Stephen “Andy” Young.
