Trista Kuhn

Licensed Electrician Trista Kuhn left behind the wide-open Alaskan landscape to find warmer weather and more hunting opportunities in Kansas.

Originally from upstate New York, Kuhn’s interest in becoming an electrician was sparked at an early age. Through her experience taking a construction class in high school, Kuhn decided to become an electrician.

Following a five-year apprenticeship in upstate New York, Kuhn has spent the last three years working in Alaska. Her experience includes industrial, commercial and residential work. She brings 20,000-hours of trade ex-perience as a licensed journeyman electrician to the Eureka community and surrounding areas (within an hour of Eureka). Kuhn Electric is offering commercial and residential work, including new build, remodel and service work.

Kuhn and her dog, Mitzy, moved to the community in November. Born last May, the young Beagle is a trained deer tracker and has already had success locating a harvest in Kansas this year.

In addition to her experiences hunting Caribou in Alaska, Kuhn also enjoys hunting additional game including waterfowl, turkey, rabbits and White Tail deer.

Kuhn and her boyfriend Jay are both active in the outdoors. Each fall, they spend time in Canada working for a waterfowl outfitter.
