2024 Winter Royalty Crowned At EHS
2024 Eureka High School Winter Royalty Court

Eureka seniors, Paiton Gravatt and Banff Perkins, were crowned as the 2024 Eureka Junior Senior High School King and Queen during the Winter Royalty event last Friday, Jan. 12.

During halftime of the boys game, senior candidates were introduced with Gravatt being named King and Perkins being named this year’s Queen.

Gravatt is the son of Kevin and Natasha Gravatt of Eureka and the late Tisha Gravatt. Perkins is the daughter of Mark and Donelda Perkins of rural Eureka.

Other members of the Winter Royalty court were: for King, Gabe Fansler, Dominic Samuels, Cayden Wesley and Marcus Britain; and for Queen, Kiara Pool, Abby Altis, Gabby Randall and Sylvie Frakes.

Crown bearers for the event were Marshall Elementary first graders Ridge Samuels and Allie Knowles. They were escorted by 2023 EHS Winter Royalty Queen Makenzie Miller. Trey Howard, 2023 EHS Winter Royalty King was unable to attend this year’s fesitivities.

The Tornado basketball teams split with Burlington, with the Lady Tornadoes claiming the win last Friday night.

A Winter Royalty dance was held following the basketball games, and concluded the festivities.
