Toronto News

Here we are, back on track. Glad the Monday holidays are over for awhile. Well . . . until the 15th, then we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday. Then, there will be no Monday holidays for awhile. They just mess everything up.

It is raining and sleeting this Monday morning as I write this column. We need more rain. The snow has begun (8:45 a.m.). Big, beautiful flakes falling and lots of them. Coming down really fast and furious!

Winter months, with little sunshine can be hard on people. Find an activity that brings you joy and have fun doing it. There are so many things you can do. Did you know that they make coloring books for adults now?

If you loved coloring as a kid, you’ll love the coloring books that are available now. Mandala’s, scenic views, geometric shapes, flowers, birds, animals, just about anything imaginable! And the utensils available to color with; besides the good old crayons there are colored pencils, felt tips, gel pens and pens with glitter in the ink!

The snow we got over the weekend was nice. Between the snow and the rain, we should be catching up with our rainfall deficit. Moisture in any form is welcome, we just don’t want or need any ice!
