Greenwood County 4-H Council Approved 2023-24 Officers

The bi-monthly meeting of the Greenwood County 4-H Council was held on Nov. 20, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Greenwood County Courthouse with 17 members, two agents and six leaders present.

For new business, members voted to host a joint meeting with Lyon County 4-H Council on March 4, in Madison, hold Greenwood County 4-H Days on Feb. 10 in Hamilton and to pay a portion of the registration fees for CIA & KYLF for council members planning to attend.

An election was held to select new officers to lead the upcoming 4-H year. The 2023-24 officers are President: Wylee Boulanger; Vice President: Brooke Gaines; Secretary: MaKenna Engle; Treasurer: Hannah Perrier; Reporter: Cody Johnson; and Parliamentarians: Gabe Oltman and Addison Westerman.

Members signed up to serve on various committees throughout the year.

In announcements, a Tractor/Farm Safety meeting will be held on April 13, the SignUpGenius link for the Junk in a Bucket enrollment will be sent out on Jan. 1, Jan. 5 is the 4-H enrollment deadline for returning members, record books must be turned in to the extension office by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 for regional judging, and beef weigh-in will be March 15 at the Luthi residence in Madison.

The next meeting will be held Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Greenwood County Courthouse.
