EUREKA – Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH)/ Eureka Clinic announced that it has been awarded a generous grant of $6,600 from the KHC Clinic Assistance Program to support and enhance ongoing efforts to increase cancer screenings among the community.

The funds provided by the KHC Clinic Assistance Program will be instrumental in expanding outreach initiatives, with a particular focus on raising awareness about the importance of breast, colorectal, cervical, and lung cancer screenings. This grant will allow GWCH/Eureka Clinic to implement a comprehensive marketing and community education campaign, utilizing radio, print, and electronic advertising channels to reach a wider audience.

“We are truly grateful for the support from the KHC Clinic Assistance Program,” said Melissa Jones, Quality/Risk/Eureka Clinic Director. “This grant will enable us to extend our reach and encourage more individuals to prioritize their health through regular cancer screenings. Early detection can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes, and this funding will contribute to saving lives in our community.”

The allocated funds will not only be dedicated to advertising efforts but will also be utilized for the development and distribution of educational materials. These materials will serve to inform the public about the importance of cancer screenings, dispel myths, and provide guidance on when and how to access these crucial healthcare services.

GWCH/Eureka Clinic remains committed to its mission of promoting health and wellness within the community. The support from the KHC Clinic Assistance Program will undoubtedly strengthen our capacity to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
