Two Elk County Wrestling (ECW) club members claimed hardware at the Crusader Clash on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Kapaun Mt. Carmel in Wichita. ECW’s Emma Baumgartel placed first and Kash Bidwell placed third.
Following are the individual match wins for ECW participants: 6U Boys 46: Flint Pope went 2-2 for the day. He won by fall over Lincoln Gilman (Carroll Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:54) and won by fall over Declan Sage (CYWC) (Fall 0:46).
10U Boys Open 85: Kash Bidwell placed 3rd. He went 3-1 for the day. He won by fall over Jakoby Hamrick (Ark City Takedown Wrestling Cl) (Fall 0:50); won by forfeit over Kayvin Bellew (Mulvane Jr. Wrestling Club); and won a 4-1 decision in tie-breaker - 1 over Colston Ebert (Carroll Wrestling Club).
12U Girls 95-100: Emma Baumgartel placed 1st, going 3-0 for the day. She won by fall over Cadence Black (Maize Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:48); won by fall over Lilliana Grant (RSA Redstorm) (Fall 2:02); and won by fall over Kylie Logan (South Central Punishers) (Fall 4:16).
Also representing the Elk County Wrestling Club was Corbin Arbuckle, 12U Boys 130-140.
