Eureka Wrestling Club Battled At Circle Classic In Towanda

Members of the Eureka Wrestling Club (EWC) participated in the Circle Classic last Sunday, Jan. 7, in Towanda.

Following are the individual match wins for Eureka Wrestling Club participants:

6U Boys 58: Tucker Williams placed 2nd. He won by forfeit over Rhett Robertson (Derby Wrestling Club); and won by fall over Kai Carey (Augusta Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:30).

8U Girls 80: Elena Mc-Coy placed 3rd. She won by fall over Kaylee Kanngiesser (CYWC) (Fall 0:42).

10U Girls 55-60: Brynlee Ashlock placed 3rd. She won an 8-3 decision over Rosalie Landrum (El Dorado Wrestling Club); won by fall over Josefina Hernandez- Martinez (Iron Grapplers Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:42); and won a 9-8 decision over Lyla Spangler (Maize Wrestling Club).

10U Boys Open 76: Keon Jones placed 6th.

12U Girls 110-120: Adleigh Ray placed 3rd. She won by fall over Jessica Morgan (Wichita Blue Knights) (Fall 1:02).

12U Girls 140-150: Lakyn McCoy placed 1st. She won by fall over Autumn Carter (Smoky Valley Wrestling Club) (Fall 2:19); and won by disqualification over McKinzie Cobb (Cherryvale Wrestling Club).

12U Boys 72: Brandon Cornett placed 2nd. He won by fall over Liam Padua (Derby Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:12); won by fall over Charles Husband (Wichita Blue Knights) (Fall 0:43); and won by fall over Matthias Barnes (Wichita Blue Knights) (Fall 2:04).

12U Boys 110: Tate Scott placed 1st. He won by fall over Maysen Hirschfeld (Augusta Wrestling Club) (Fall 0:28); won a10-2 major decision over Hayes Cobb (Cherryvale Wrestling Club); and won by fall over Cragen Smith (Triumph) (Fall 0:56).

12U Boys 110: Felix Neill placed 4th. He won by fall over Tyler Overstake (Wichita Blue Knights) (Fall 2:48); and won by fall over Maysen Hirschfeld (Augusta Wrestling Club) (Fall 1:20).

14U Boys HWT: Cort Decker placed 6th.

Also representing EWC were: Jad Day, 6U Boys 49; Graham Bechtel, 6U Boys 52; Kaydenn Winn, 6U Boys 52; Jadden Winn, 12U Boys 120.
