JH Basketball Fell To Bullpups

A-team boys put four points on the board to open the game, trailing 4-7 at the end of the first period. Caney Valley pulled further ahead before closing the half, the Tornadoes down 8-17. Third quarter scoring was consistent with the first two, the Tornadoes putting down another two shots to add four points to their score. Eureka went into the final quarter 12-23. The Tornadoes fell to the Bullpups, 18-30. Leading scorer for the Tornadoes was Tate Scott who tallied 8 points through 4-quarters. Also scoring for Eureka were Brody Mitchell 4 and Wacey Ross, Maddox Hughes and Christian Sanchez each with 2 points.

B-team Tornado Boys ended the evening in a similar fashion, last Thursday. Caney Valley dominated scoring in the first period, leaving Eureka trailing, 2-12. The Bullpups increased their lead before heading to the final half, 4-18. Five points from Tornado Cash Escareno in the third quarter and four from Sanchez, aided in reducing the Tornadoes’ deficit. Eureka went into the final period, 15-27. An additional two points for both teams concluded the game at 17-29, Eureka falling to Caney Valley. Scoring for Eureka were Sanchez 6, Escareno 5, Ja-Kolby Robbins 4 and Wacey Ross scoring 2 points.

Both Junior High Lady Tornado teams walked away with losses last Thursday.

A-team girls fell 19-45. Scoring for Eureka were Arabella Shepherd 12, Sydney Lindamood 4, Karsyn Osborne 2 and Jersey Cox 1.

B-team ladies ended the night with a 13-29 loss. Scoring for the B-team were McKenna McDonald 7 and Sofia Escareno, Amorette Guillaume and Annabell Bogle all with 2. Stats were received after pages were set, and additional information was held due to space and time restraints.
