West Elk Patriot wrestlers made their way to Burlington last Saturday, where three Patriots came away with hardware.
Patriot Senior Evan Coble went undefeated in his round-robin bracket to claim first place honors. Junior Creyo Koop also went undefeated, pinning his way to a first place finish.
Lady Patriot senior Kayla Wright placed third and junior Marisa Ghramm placed sixth. Those finishing in the top four of their weight bracket received a medal.

32ndAnnual Boys Invitational
132: Evan Coble (18-2) placed 1st. He received a bye; won by fall over Gunnar Reichard (Baldwin HS) 6-13 (Fall 0:35); won by fall over Jayden Waterer (Silver Lake HS) 5-12 (Fall 1:05); and won by fall over Ethan Bartley (Burlington HS) 9-9 (Fall 0:39).
157: Nolan Denton (9-11) lost by fall to Dalton Pool (Eureka HS) 8-11 (Fall 1:57); received a bye; won by fall over Cooper White (Caney Valley HS) 2-4 (Fall 0:45); and lost by fall to Blake Redmond (Silver Lake HS) 10-3 (Fall 2:18).
165: Creyo Koop (20-0) placed 1st. He received a bye; won by fall over Gannon Friess (Parsons HS) 5-6 (Fall 0:57); won by fall over Landon Thompson (McPherson HS) 16-4 (Fall 1:36); and won by fall over Amanie Luten (Coffeyville- Field Kindley HS) 8-2 (Fall 1:14).
175: Josh Patteson (9-10) received a bye; lost by fall to Bowen McIntosh (Burlington HS) 12-7 (Fall 5:33); received a bye; and lost a 1-3 decision to Keldyn Cox (Baldwin HS) 6-9.
190: Landon Wunderlich (6-14) lost by fall to Brock Richardson (McPherson HS) 8-8 (Fall 0:45); received a bye; and lost by fall to Julian Carpenter (Uniontown HS) 8-7 (Fall 1:57).
215: Boedy Murphy (12-7) lost by fall to Catch DeLaney (McPherson HS) 12-7 (Fall 0:58); and lost by fall to Cole Greenwood (St. George-Rock Creek HS) 6-7 (Fall 2:50).
285: Edward Metcalf (3-10) lost by fall to Kainen White (Coffeyville-Field Kindley HS) 12-0 (Fall 0:34); and lost by fall to Colt Baker (Burlington HS) 7-2 (Fall 0:10).
7thAnnual LadyCat Invitational
115: Marisa Ghramm (36) placed 6th. She won by fall over Harmony Demott (Uniontown HS) 4-4 (Fall 0:19); lost by fall to Jerri Smith (Fort Scott HS) 13-1 (Fall 0:58); lost by fall to Callie Collins (Cherryvale HS) 11-8 (Fall 4:08); and lost a 3-5 decision in sudden victory - 1 to Mackenzie Hurst (Independence HS) 5-8.
125: Kayla Wright (11-1) placed 3rd. She won by fall over Michelle Carranco (Independence HS) 3-9 (Fall 1:45); won by fall over Aubrey Martin (Fort Scott HS) 8-5 (Fall 1:23); lost by fall to Zoey Kessler (Cherryvale HS) 14-1 (Fall 5:18); won by fall over Mckenna Harris (Silver Lake HS) 12-10 (Fall 0:22); and won by fall over Amara Dossett (McPherson HS) 4-6 (Fall 2:32).
