In just a little over a week, 31 Eureka USD 389 students will meet at Marshall Elementary School, beginning at 1:30 p.m., for the annual District Spelling Bee. Students representing the two schools are: Marshall Elementary Fourth Grade: Cora Bumgardner, Daniel Camp, Jace Dailey, Kasen DelPozzo, Christiana Ford, Kane Lambdin, Preston Milner and Sophie Seiter.
Fifth Grade: Franny Baxter, Tenlee Boles, Elika Brogan, Tucker Damron, Bronwyn Hall, Abel Kuntz, Wayne McElroy and Nyky Ovalle.
Sixth Grade: Raegen Ashlock, Landon Bumgarnder, Marcus Clark, Bryson Gilbert, Landon Noonan, Donovan Owings, Davin Walden and Casen Wamsher.
Eureka Junior/Senior High School Seventh Grade: Charles Granado, Maddox Hughes, Rose Larson and McKenna McDonald.
Eighth Grade: Autumn Burton, Paxton Mitchell and Sadie Seiter.
The top eight spellers will advance to the Greenwood County Spelling Bee in February.
