Palmer Playing Softball For The Labette Cardinals

On Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 Eureka High School then senior Taylor Palmer signed to play softball with Labette Community College.

Palmer began playing softball at the age of three and later started playing competitively at 10.

“As soon as I started playing softball competitively, I knew I wanted to go on and play in college,” shared Palmer.

When asked what drew her to Labette, Palmer referenced the softball program and coaches as well as the culture within the school and team.

In five years, she plans to be working as a nurse and working towards attaining a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) credential.

Her special honors for softball include: two-time Mo/Kan All State games nominee; TVL All League pitcher, her junior year and SIK honorable mention pitcher, her junior year.

She is the daughter of Janel and Matthew Palmer of rural Eureka. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Jane Palmer, and Leland and the late Carol Wagner, all of Emporia.
