Eighteen members and one guest met for a Eureka Music Club business meeting and program at the Eureka Christ Lutheran Church on Monday, Dec. 11. Carla Cook and Rise Russin served as co-hostesses. Sheri Hall, co-president, conducted the monthly business meeting.
Club members Robin Himes and Vandetta Mongeau planned the December meeting around the theme “Christmas.” The following musical selections were then performed by several of the club members: Grace Stacy played, “No Golden Carriage, No Bright Toy” by Martin, on organ; Pat Surber sang, “The Christmas Song,” accompanied by Jean Edwards; Mary Ellen Forbes played and sang, “Silent Night;” Marla DeGraffenreid and Stacy performed a piano and organ duet, “Angels We Have Heard on High;” Himes shared, “Reflections at the Manger,” based on Away in the Manger; Sheryl Moody played a piano solo of, “The First Noel.” Margaret Spires, accompanied Joyce Saunders and Leeann McKee who sang a duet “Joyful, Joyful to the World.” Edwards performed The Christmas Prayer;” Stacy shared a piano solo of “Up On the Housetop.” The program ended with a reading of, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” by Hall and accompanied by Himes.
Delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses.
